Artificial Embryos

Cambridge University embryologists have created mice resembling embryos using stem cells. This scientific advance will redefine the limits of life creation.

The researchers placed the stem cells on a three-dimensional scaffold and observed how they started to interact and organize into the form of a several day-old mice embryo.

Unfortunately, no mouse has been born from the embryos, but there is no doubt that those embryos are proof that we will be able to have mammals born this way sooner than we think.

Artificial embryos will make possible for researchers to study the mysterious beginning of human life; however they have ignited new bioethical debates.
